Effective 01 November, Defence Bank has removed the majority of everyday banking fees to help cost of living and recognise ADF service.
We’ve dropped the following fees from our everyday banking, saving and offset accounts to put more money back into your pocket:
- Dishonour fee.
- Declined EFT fee.
- Declined ATM.
- Overdrawn fee.
- Bank@post declined (in sufficient funds)
- Auto transfer dishonour fee.
- Monthly statement fees (where no credit product).
- Cash handling fees.
- Visa emergency cash and card fee.
Members of Defence Bank already enjoy no monthly account fees and unlimited electronic transactions but with the removal of the above fees will enjoy further savings and value on their everyday banking.
Defence Bank CEO Roberto Scenna said the removal of these fees is part of delivering “Smiles all ‘round” on everyday banking products for Members.
“We see Defence Bank as the destination for serving ADF Members, wanting to bank on us and with us.
“We are doing what we can to put money back in the pockets of Members during a cost-of-living crisis.
“It is another positive step in delivering for the Defence community, offering more compelling and extraordinary banking products so we can be the first choice for ADF members, their families, and the wider Defence community.
“Not only have we removed these fees, but we also offer a wide ATM network of more than six thousand access points, no account keeping or minimum deposit requirements, and no overseas ATM withdrawal fees.
“This is evidence of our connection and commitment to the defence community.
“We will continue to look at ways we can support our Members and the life like no other they lead.”
