Defence Bank has won Mozo’s low-rate credit card of the year for the third year running, in recognition of a card that has maintained the same interest rate for three years.
Defence Bank has kept the Defence Bank Foundation Credit Card interest rate unchanged since the card was launched in 2020.
“Our credit card is not only one that starts low, it stays low,” Defence Bank Chief Executive David Marshall said.
“We understand the cost of living many Australians are facing.
“Heading towards Christmas, a low rate credit card is a really valuable tool for Australians wanting to make a difference to their household budgets.
“Anyone can apply for our low rate card, which has an introductory rate of just 3.99% for the first six months before reverting to 8.99%.
“At a time where costs are rising, paying 20% or more for a credit card can be easily avoided by switching to lower rate alternative.
“Importantly not only will our card help the hip pocket, but it will also be used to help others in our community by supporting veterans in need.
“Half of the $45 annual fee goes to the Defence Bank Foundation which helps veterans and their mental health and wellbeing.
“The Foundation supports the Defence Community Dogs program, a specialised dog training program which rescues abandoned dogs and trains them through Correctional Services to assist veterans coping with PTSD, depression and anxiety.
“I’d encourage Australians looking to support veterans and also looking for a better credit card deal to look at becoming a Defence Bank member by applying for our low-rate card.
