We’re giving our members who get paid by the Australian Defence Force, Department of Defence, Department of Veteran Affairs or Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation the chance to boost their pay!*

To enter, here’s what you need to do:

Step 1. If you don’t already have a Defence Bank account, open an account via our app or Online Banking.

Step 2. Receive direct-entry payments from the ADF, Department of Defence, Department of Veteran Affairs or Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, totalling $500 or more within a fortnight into any Defence Bank account(s) for automatic entry into the $10,000 draw.*

Step 3. Keep receiving these eligible fortnightly payments to enter every $10,000 draw until 16 March 2025!

1. The Defence Bank ‘Boost Your Payday’ competition (Promotion) is conducted by Defence Bank Limited ABN 57 087 651 385 AFSL/Australian Credit Licence 234582 of Level 10, 31 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (Promoter).
2. Authorised under SA Licence No. c, NSW Authority TP/03538 and ACT Permit No. TP 24/00984.
3. The Promotion opens from 8:00am (Australian Eastern Time) on Monday 10 June 2024 and runs until 11:59pm (Australian Eastern Time) on Sunday 16 March 2025 (Promotion Period). The total aggregate value of all prizes on offer is $200,000 made up of 800 x $250 cash prizes (Prizes).
Eligibility / How to enter.
4. A draw will be conducted every fortnight at 11am as per the following Draw Schedule:

5. To be eligible for each fortnightly draw (Eligible Entrant) you must:
a. be a natural person of at least 17 years of age (entrants from South Australia and the Northern Territory must be at least 18 years of age to enter).
b. make a minimum payment of $500 or more during the fortnightly period (14 days) as per the draw schedule, into any, or a combination of Defence Bank accounts from any of the following remitters:
i. ADF Regulars
ii. ADF Reserves
iii. Dept of Defence
iv. DVA Payroll
v. Dept Vet Affairs
vi. Vet Affairs (including PPD, PPF and RTD)
vii. Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC)
c. not have any account or loan in arrears or overdrawn at the time of the draw
d. not have previously won any Prize associated with the Promotion
e. not be a person who is (as determined by the Promoter):
i. directly involved in the Promotion; or
ii. a director or staff member of the Promoter, or a member of their immediate family.
6. For joint accounts:
a. the above Eligible Entrant conditions apply to all joint account holders; and
b. where the joint account wins a Prize all joint account holders are deemed to have won that Prize.
7. Each Eligible Entrant will automatically be entered into each fortnightly draw and will receive a maximum of one (1) entry per draw.
Prize details.
8. There will be 40 Eligible Entrants randomly drawn each fortnight as per the Draw Schedule, comprising a total of 800 Eligible Entrants during the Promotion Period.
9. For each fortnightly draw, each entry randomly drawn will win AU$250 (Prize). The total value of the Prizes for the fortnightly draw is AU$10,000. The total value of the Prizes for the Promotion is AU$200,000.
Determining the Winners.
10. The random electronic prize draw for each fortnightly draw will take place at 11:00am (Australian Eastern Time) as per the Draw Schedule at level 10, 31 Queen Street, Melbourne 3000. The first 40 eligible entries randomly selected for each Fortnightly Draw will each be awarded a Prize (Winners).
11. Eligible Entrants are only eligible to win one (1) Prize from the Promotion.
Announcing the Prize.
12. The Promoter will, within seven days of each Draw, notify each Winner by:
a. Email to the email address associated with the Winner’s eligible account.
b. If an email bounces, a letter to the address associated with the Winner’s Eligible Account will be sent.
13. Unless the Winner requests otherwise within 14 days of being notified, they have won a Prize, in accordance with clause 11 above, the Promoter will publish the Winners first initial, full last name and State or Territory on the Promoter’s website at defencebank.com.au/boostyourpayday within 30 days of the applicable Draw.
Distributing the Prize.
14. Each Prize will be distributed to the Winner within 30 days of the relevant Draw by electronic funds transfer into:
a. The Winner’s Defence Bank account where their fortnightly payment was received for that Draw.
15. If the Winner has closed their accounts during the distribution of the prize, the Prize is forfeited. Defence Bank will publish that fact at defencebank.com.au/boostyourpayday, and a redraw will take place three (3) months after the initial draw (as per the draw schedule clause 4) by the same method and at the same time and place as the initial draw.
Resolving disputes.
16. Complaints regarding the Promotion may be submitted by:
a. Calling 1800 033 139
b. Visiting a Defence Bank branch
c. Writing to us at ‘The Complaints Officer, Defence Bank, PO Box 14537, Melbourne VIC 8001.
17. If there is a dispute concerning the complaint, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
General.
18. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s reasonable discretion.
19. The Promoter’s decision is final in relation to all aspects of the Promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. Defence Bank does not take any responsibility and we are not liable for any tax implications, damage or harm caused through use of products or cash won as part of the draw, be it indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages (including but not limited to damages for loss of business, loss of profits, interruption or the like).
21. Defence Bank reserves the right to withdraw this promotion at any time. Termination will not affect any Prizes Winners are already eligible for.
22. Prizes will not be substituted.
23. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to technical failures, cyber-attacks, infection by computer bugs or viruses, unauthorised intervention, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion), the Promoter may, take any action that may be available including cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Promotion.
24. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
25. The Promoter will use and handle your personal information as set out in the Defence Bank Privacy Policy which can be viewed at https://www.defencebank.com.au/globalassets/documents/legal—compliance/privacy-policy/defence-bank-privacy-policy.pdf. This policy sets out how you can access, update or correct your personal information, change your marketing preferences or make a privacy complaint.
