Protecting us can come with a price. Australia’s Defence Bank Foundation is an independent charity established to help injured, wounded and disadvantaged serving and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families.

All funds raised are used to run Defence Community Dogs - a program that provides assistance dogs to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related conditions.

The Defence Community Dogs’ program is a specialised program that trains rehomed and surrendered dogs through correctional facilities to assist veterans.

The assistance dogs are provided to veterans at no cost. It is a unique win-win-win program to give rescued dogs, veterans and inmates a second chance at life.
